Michelle Yeoh deported from Myanmar
Not sure which is more strange--Michelle Yeoh being deported from Burma/Myanmar or the Washington Post (and the American media generally) going out of its way to label her a "Hollywood Star".

I vote for her being labelled a Hollywood star sd the stranger development. Re deportation from Myanmar: well... considering it's now widely known that she's playing Aung San Suu Kyi in an upcoming film...
ReplyDeleteDealing with the sharp end, however briefly, of a military dictatorship is a tough but effective way of hyping a movie although not one that is generally attempted.
